THE AGR RIDER ENDED IN 16TH; NOW HE’LL BE BACK TO HIS ROUTINE IN FIM CEV
Edgar Pons did the warm up for Moto2 without any hitches. It was already starting to feel hot by that time of day. The AGR rider had been complaining that he was having trouble stopping the bike when the tank was full. So for the race, the suspension was adjusted a little further. In the first lap, he was caught in an incident that he had to see his way out of, dropping several places and losing touch with the group that later fought for the points. It’s true that with the tank full, the Kalex maybe didn’t respond correctly, just like in the warm up. He finished the race very well, posting good times. It’s a positive result, his best ever in the GP of Catalunya. Now he has to return to thinking about FIM CEV and wait for another good opportunity in the Moto2 world championships.
Moto2 #57 Edgar Pons –Kalex / 16th: “The race went well, although I had problems with the front end at the start. With the tank full, I think we were going with the suspension a bit light, so it was hard for me to overtake in the early laps. I couldn’t brake hard and had to wait for the tank to empty. And sure enough, my rhythm improved, although the group fighting for the points got away from me. I didn’t catch up in time – it’s a pity. I’m really happy with the AGR family who have given me this opportunity”.
The Argiñano & Ginés Racing Team is returning to its base, a few kilometres from the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit. Our next challenge will be the Moto2
