THE YOUNG BASQUE RIDER TAKES ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Argiñano & Ginés Racing Team has reached an agreement with the Basque rider Íñigo Iglesias (Rentería, Guipúzcoa, 9/4/2002), to race Moto3 in the last two dates of FIM CEV Repsol competition.
Íñigo, who lives in Valencia, has been riding in the European Talent Cup this year and has now been given a great opportunity to grow as a racer in a team with a larger structure and greater record of results like AGR. He’ll be riding a KTM 250cc/4T, to keep working towards his dream of joining the World Championship, home of his idol Valentino Rossi, while continuing his fourth-grade studies in secondary education.
Íñigo Iglesias started riding when he was 7 years old and has been racing since 2013. In 2014, he took part in the Spanish MiniGP championship after his time in mini-motos, and in 2015 took part in Challenge 80. The young rider from Rentería has also raced in preMoto3, before starting in FIM CEV Repsol.
Kepa Burutxaga, Team Manager: “We’re delighted to be able to announce the signing of Íñigo Iglesias. We’ve had great reports about him, and are particularly interested since he’s from the Basque Country. We hope that he’ll feel at home and will be able to grow with us.”
