The start of Spring means the return of motorbikes to the race circuits and competition. In short, the thing we like best. Firstly, we are starting the 2019 season under a new name, Baiko Racing Team, but still preserving the essence and spirit of the AGR Team. A new season where we will be competing in the FIM CEV Repsol competition, in the Moto2 and Moto3 categories, with the dream of winning the title.
And for this, we have four riders dying to open up the throttle on the first weekend of April at Estoril. In Moto2, Edgar Pons and Benny Solís are with us again. The Spanish rider finished in 2nd place last year and will be trying to step up to the top of the podium this season. For his part, the US rider, Solís, wants to be a regular in the top 10, after a first year of adaptation during which he showed signs of his huge potential.
As for Moto3, we have one old face and one new. The Basque racer Íñigo Iglesias is back with us, after his good showing in the final stretch of last season.A young rider, but one with great experience, who has performed well in the European Talent Cup. And the last signing of the season is Gerard Riu. Champion of Spain in this category, he already knows what it’s like to complete a year in the FIM CEV, finishing in 19th position.
All in all, an exciting year ahead, and one in which we hope to make the news on every circuit of this demanding championship. Of course, to be successful, we need the support of our family, so we ask you to stay tuned to our webpage and social media, if you don’t want to miss any detail of this new project.
