Iñigo Iglesias returns to Moto3 after overcoming his broken clavicle

Coinciding with the French Gran Prix, our Moto3 riders have travelled to the classic Le Mans circuit to race in a new event of the FIM CEV Repsol. Edgar Pons and Benny Solis will have to wait until June to return to competition with Moto2. In addition, this European Championship event is peculiar in that the race is on Saturday. In a sports sense, our riders have started on a good foot.

The first good news is the return to the circuits of Iñigo Iglesias.  The Basque rider gets on a bike again after fracturing his clavicle in the first event of the season in Estoril. He registered the 34th best time and although he went to the ground, the importance is that he is back.

In turn, Gerard Riu has shown us that tomorrow he can dream of the Top5. In both sessions he was seen to be solid and with good rhythm to attack the top part. Now, we only have to wait for the conditions we find on the track and see it we a good start, he can bring us the first happiness of the season.

Tomorrow the race will be from 16:30 for the best of 17 laps.

Iñigo Iglesias 34th (QP1: 35th / QP2: 33th) 1:45.579: “Today has been complicated. I felt comfortable in the first session, but I had a fall and I was forced to go to the trailer. In the second session I found the feeling in the final section, finishing well.   Tomorrow the race will be in the wet and I am anxious to see me in the competition”.

Gerard Riu 8th (QP1: 9th / QP2: Xth) 01:43.546: “Today has been positive. From the start I had a good base on the bike and rapidly we saw ourselves in the first positions. Both timings were particularly good and tomorrow I start 8th. I am satisfied with the work we have done. The weather forecast is complicated, but my objective is to be in the Top5”.
