Last day of racing at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. Taiga Hada has finished fourth once again after a great race. In the first Moto3 race both Joel Kelso and Gerard Riu did not finish the race. Joel had a crash in the first lap and Gerard had another in the last laps. In the second raceRiu was fourth ans unfortunately Kelso did not participate.

Taiga Hada has made a great performance again in the Moto2 race. Hada has shown his ability to manage races. He kept the pace at all times and waiting for the right moment to overtake his rivals. In the second part of the race he reached fifth position. Lap by lap he fought with Keminth Kubo until he finally he overtook the Thai rider and he crossed the finish line in fourth position.

Gerard Riu made a great start in the first race, reaching the top positions in a few laps. Riu kept pace at all time. Lap by lap he managed to get closer to the first classified or reach podium positions again with the aim of, at least, repeating the result of the previous day. Unfortunately, a mistake in the last laps caused him to crash while he was third. In the second race the Gerard had a new opportunity to get a new podium. He did not miss the leading group at any time. Although it was difficult a difficult race, he worked hard to get ahead and overtake Daniel Holgado to place third. Finally he crossed the finish line in fourth position.

Joel Kelso started from twelfth position after yesterday’s spectacular race. The Moto 2 rider came out convinced of making a great performance this Sunday. However, Kelso went to the ground after a touch with another driver on the first lap. There was another chance in race two, but pain in his shoulder and arm prevented him from leaving. Bitter taste for the Australian, who had done a great job together with the team all weekend.

Anscari Nadal (Team Manager): “Taiga made a great race today, going faster than on Saturday. He has improved his riding style and he had made a step forward. Joel could have made a great race but a rider threw him on the first lap. Luckily he has not major injuries, but even so he has not been able to start the second race due to pain. Gerard had a great first race, although without a happy ending due to the crash. In the second race he had a better setup and he fought until the end for the podium, but finally he couldn’t reach it. I’m happy with the weekend’s work and we’re already thinking about the next races in Aragon”.

Taiga Hada (4th): “It was not a bad start, although it wasn’t as good as yesterday. The bike was going very well. Today there was a very high rhythm during the race and I fought with Kubo and Medina until finally I overtook Kubo to get fourth position. At that time I pushed to reach Medina but the tires weren’t in the best conditions to do it. I preferred to keep my position although I improved my times. Anyway I’m happy with the results”.

Gerard Riu (R1: NC / R2: 4th): “Today was a bit difficult. In the first race I felt good but I did not have the perfect feeling with the bike. It was difficult for me to keep up and I pushed to the maximum, but I made a small mistake and I went to the ground. Luckily we managed to identify the problem, solve it  for the second race. With three laps remaining, I tried to get a good position to fight for the podium and that’s how it was, but at the last corner I made a small mistake and lost third position. Due to that I’m not quite happy with today’s performance. I want to apologize to the team because we did not deserve that failure, but for the next race we will be giving one hundred percent”.

Joel Kelso (R1: NC / R2: NC): “Ifelt very strong and confident for fighting in the front group and I had a good start in the first corners. Unfortunately one rider came and contact with me. I crashed and this ended the race. I couldn’t start the second race but anyway I’m happy with the work of the team this weekend. We will return stronger in Aragon”.

After this weekend, Taiga Hada is fifth in the Moto2 general standing with 63 points. In Moto3, Gerard Riu is seventh with 42 points and Joel Kelso twenty-second with 5 points. The next appointment will be at MotorLand Aragón, 3rd – 4 th October.
